Can you believe that 2007 is almost half over?
This week I decided to list 13 Things In No Particular Order That I Want To Do Before New Year’s Eve.
1. Finally learn to ride a bike. I am 45 years old and never learned how.
2. Create an online group just for women, and invite all the wonderful women bloggers I’ve met over the years.
3. Get all my family photographs scanned onto CDs or DVDs. I might bribe my daughter to pull this one off
4. Lose some more weight. I am about 17 down, but I want to be 50 down by New Years Eve.
5. Finally complete those plays I’ve been working on for two years.
6. Take another online course in writing. I want to do poetry this time.
7. Get a Pen Pal. Yes, a real old-fashioned paper, envelopes and stamps pen pal.
8. Rent Season 3 of Desperate Housewives as soon as it comes out and have a marathon!
9. Pay off at least one more credit card in full. I did one last month and it felt great!
10. Visit every museum along Museum Mile and blog about it.
11. Walk across the GWB at least once.
12. Start & finish NaNoWriMo.
13. Make at least one great new friend!
Get the Thursday Thirteen code here!

I like #2 and #7. It would be great to have an online group of women where we can talk about anything under the sun. And a nice penpal would be good, too. I miss those days when people write letters to each other on paper and seal them in enveloped and have the postman delivered it.

Good luck to you! I hope you are able to do all of these things. I did #12 a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun. I’m also working on #4.
Happy TT!

If you want to do some old fashioned letter writing, you should join postcrossing.com; it’s highly addictive and you get postcards from around the world. Happy TT.

What a great list! This year has flown by in some aspects, but it is crawling at a snail’s pace on other day.

Very nice list of goals! I hope you are able to do them all.
How I miss old-fashioned pen-pals! I had three in high school - two in Spain (and we wrote in both English and Spanish so we could each practice the language that was new to us) and one in Scotland. So much fun!!

What exciting goals. I hope you accomplish them all.
I am with you on the weight loss thing. I had lost 34 pounds prior to my knee replacement surgery but I have been a ‘bad girl’ since and have gained some back. It is VERY frustrating.
Thanks for coming by my T13. Have a great day.

There are some goals you listed that I would like to do but I’m just too lazy. I don’t make new year resoultions - I’ll just break them!
Good luck with your goals!

Oh wow, the year is half over already….All your goals sound doable. It will be exciting to see how many you actually get done.

My daughter is almost 11, and with great perseverence on my part, and much prodding, she finally got it down and learned to ride her bike just yesterday. We’ve been trying to teach her since she was 5. I’m sure you will do fine. And I’ll give you the same advice I give to her, “don’t be afraid to fall” Good luck!
