Thirteen Wishes by Frances
1.) I wish I could see my father one more time. I would say “Daddy I used to think you were crazy. Now I see myself becoming more and more like you every day. You were right about everything.”
2.) I wish I could see my grandmother one more time. Whenever something funny happens, I imagine me telling her all about it over one of our snacks at the dining room table.
3.) I wish I could see my brother one time. I’d love him to know that his devoted circle of friends have held a memorial for him every year since his left this plane of existence in 1990. And how much we all miss him.
4.) I wish I knew how to fly a helicopter. I would love to fly myself to the top of Bally’s in Atlantic City.
5.) I wish I wasn’t so afraid of heights; it would probably help with wish #4!
6.) I wish every parent would tell their children that they love them every single day.
7.) I wish that all colleges in this country were free.
8.) I wish that there were free safe daycare available to all parents.
9.) I wish that it were summer all the time in New York. Getting older I guess - just can’t stand the cold.
10.) I wish that I could be a Birthday Fairy. Every day I would be assigned a different person who was supposed to be alone on their birthday. We would meet by chance, and I would happen to find out it was their birthday, and then we would celebrate it in some fantastic way.
11.) A little shameless self promotion coming up. I wish that a lot of wonderful women bloggers will join my new group over at Yahoo.
12.) I wish I hadn’t said oh about a thousand or two dumb things over the years. My temper has improved substantially over the years, but it’s still not where I want it.
13.) I wish that I could make every kid love reading. I’m across the street from one of those stores that sells those video games, and sometimes the kids look like they’re mesmerized or something.
And One More Wish - May You All Have a Simply Fabulous Thursday

Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it’s one day further from the last time you saw each other, it’s one day closer to the next time you will.

Some wonderful wishes, and some sad touching ones. I will try out the yahoo site…I just took a peek at it, if I can figure out the application form I’ll be there! I love hearing about life in NY…I miss it, it’s been a few years since I’ve been there, love the place and you are so cool for living there!

I’m with you on # 5, 7,10,12 — I would join your Yahoo group but I always forget to check for updates - have you thought about setting up a blog instead and have people join and post things? I don’t like the Yahoo interface group that much plus I am currently trying to switch over to Google mail and such.
Happy Thursday Thirteen!

Ballys? Why Bally’s may I ask? =O) I’m originally from NJ and haven’t been there on the boards for about four years now. I bet so much has changed already. Great list and have a Happy Thursday.

A touching post and really moving. I wish I could see my grand parents again and tell them I love them one more time. I wish for many other things in fact.
Take care.

HI Jem,
Oh, this Thurs. 13 opener (those first 3) caught me in the throat and heart. ((((Jem)))
We share numbers 1-3, although my bro is alive (I hope).
Your other wishes are ones deep inside of me like the birthday fairy, especially for those alone… (BTDT both ways) to
**Parents telling there children they love them every day (and meaning it)
to free daycare and college.
Your wishes are TOPS!
**Now I remember how we met. We have the love of the moon in common….
I’m too sleepy right now, but I will check out the woman blogging group you’ve formed soon. Meanwhile shining moonbeams to you on that!
